The 5-Second Lid

Oh yes, what fun I had with my niece. She asked me "how would you make a hat out of this?" as she held up the sleeve of an old t-shirt. Taking it from her I said "I'd do this", snipped a clean edge around one side and put a hair thingamadoodle on the other end.

[insert gasp]

"NO WAY - that's all?!!!".

Sassy Skirt-Over-Teen-Jeans Skirt

My niece came over to stay with me for a few days last week. She's a super cool teenager with a great personality, and as a bonus, she LOVES little kids! She asked me if I could make her a skirt to wear over her jeans. No problem!

Did I mention that she's also a great "shampoo stylist"?!!!

Anyway, I did have fun making this skirt. It's made out of a $2 sheet (Walmart clearance), a bit of irridescent lacey trim (her idea - I love how it worked out!), and an old black t-shirt. Oh, and a little embroidered pocket.
